IV HYDRATION THERAPY: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
DEFINING IV HYDRATION THERAPY
IV HYDRATION THERAPY- The medical delivery of fluids, electrolytes, and nutrients directly into the bloodstream for rapid absorption, faster relief, and immediate hydration. This approach bypasses the digestive system, allowing the body to rehydrate more efficiently than oral intake.
- REHYDRATE IV- Our plain-fluid hydration. It contains medical-grade saline or lactated ringer's with electrolytes only - no added vitamins or medications. Designed for fast, efficient rehydration and symptom relief.
- IV INFUSION THERAPY- Plain-fluid bag combined with a selection of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, or medications. These formulations support targeted wellness goals like energy, recovery, immunity, or symptom relief.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY VISIT?
Your visit is designed to be efficient, comfortable, and medically guided from start to finish.
- COMPLETE CONSENT FORMS- Upon arrival you'll complete a one-time consent form that gives IV MD, LLC and its staff permission to treat you. This form covers IV hydration therapy, IM injections, and oxygen services.
- MEDICAL CONSULTATION- One of our licensed providers will conduct a short medical consultation- required on your first visit and once per calendar year thereafter. This $30 consultation reviews your medical history and current medications to confirm that IV hydration is safe and appropriate for you.
- VITAL SIGNS- After your consultation, a nurse will take your vital signs to establish a baseline and ensure IV hydration therapy is safe and appropriate for you.
- IV PLACEMENT- A nurse will place a small IV catheter into a vein. The needle is used only to guide the catheter and is removed immediately, leaving a soft, flexible tube in place for your infusion.
- IV BAG PREPARATION- You'll relax in a comfortable recliner while your nurse mixes your IV bag based on your provider's recommendations. Each bag is prepared at the time of your visit to ensure accuracy and safety.
- INFUSION- Once prepared, your bag is connected to your IV and the infusion begins. Infusion time varies for each patient, as all infusions drip naturally by gravity.
- POST INFUSION VITAL SIGNS- When your infusion is complete, a nurse will take a final set of vital signs to confirm your body has responded appropriately to treatment.
- IV REMOVAL- A nurse will remove your IV catheter and apply gauze with Coban to create a pressure dressing. This dressing should remain in place for 20-30 minutes to stop any bleeding and help prevent bruising.
- CHECKOUT- You'll checkout and complete payment at the front desk to finish your visit.
