VITAMIN INJECTIONS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

DEFINING VITAMIN INJECTIONS

Vitamin injections deliver targeted nutrients directly into the muscle for efficient absorption and clean cellular support.   They're designed to help with energy, mood, immunity, metabolism, and overall wellness depending on the formula you choose.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY VISIT

Your visit is designed to be efficient, comfortable, and medically guided from start to finish.

  1. COMPLETE CONSENT FORMS- Upon arrival you'll complete a one-time consent form that gives IV MD, LLC and its staff permission to treat you.  This form covers IV hydration therapy, IM injections, and oxygen services.
  2. MEDICAL CONSULTATION- One of our licensed providers will conduct a short medical consultation- required on your first visit and once per calendar year thereafter.  This $30 consultation reviews your medical history and current medications to ensure that vitamin injections are safe and appropriate for you.
  3. VITAL SIGNS- After your consultation, a nurse will take your vital signs to establish a baseline and ensure vitamin injections are safe and appropriate for you.
  4. VITAMIN PREPARATION- A nurse will prepare 1-2mls of your selected injection using sterile technique.
  5. IM ADMINISTRATION- A nurse will administer the injection intramuscularly into the glute muscle using a 25-gauge, 1.5-inch needle, which is standard for IM injections .  You may feel a quick pinch or brief pressure as the medication enters the muscle, but discomfort is minimal and short-lived.
  6. POST-INJECTION MONITORING- You'll remain in the clinic for a short 10-minute observation period so a nurse can ensure you feel well and that no reactions occur.
  7. CHECKOUT- You'll checkout and complete payment at the front desk to finish your visit.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1 . HOW DO VITAMIN INJECTIONS WORK?   Vitamin injections deliver nutrients directly into the muscle, allowing for clean, efficient absorption without relying on the digestive system.  This route provides a steady release of vitamins into the bloodstream, supporting energy, mood, immunity, metabolism, and overall wellness more effectively than oral supplements for may patients.

2 . DO I NEED A MEDICAL CONSULTATION BEFORE GETTING ANY INJECTION?   All patients complete a brief medical consultation with one of our providers once per calendar year.  This review ensures vitamin or medication injections are safe and appropriate for you based on your health history and current medications.  A $30 consultation fee applies.

3 . HOW QUICKLY WILL I FEEL THE EFFECTS?  Most patients begin to feel the effects within a few hours to a couple days, depending on the injection they receive and their individual nutrient needs.

4 . HOW LONG DO THE BENEFITS LAST?   The duration of benefits varies from patient to patient.   Factors such as your baseline vitamin levels, how deficient you are, and whether you take supplements at home all influence how long the effects last.   Some patients feel sustained improvement for a week while others notice changes for a shorter or longer period depending on their individual nutrient needs.

5 . HOW OFTEN CAN I GET VITAMIN INJECTIONS?   Frequency varies from patient to patient and depends on the specific vitamin or medication being administered.   Some injections can be given up to three times per week, while others are spaced every one to two weeks or even once every three months.

6 . ARE VITAMIN INJECTIONS SAFE?   Vitamin injections are generally well-tolerated for most patients when administered by trained medical staff.   Safety depends on the specific vitamin or medication you're receiving, your health history, and how your body responds.  This is why every patient completes an annual medical consultation and a brief post-injection observation period.   A nurse will monitor you closely and ensure you feel well before leaving the clinic.

7 . WHERE DO YOU ADMINISTER THE INJECTION?   All injections are administered in a large muscle, typically the glute muscle.   This site allows for comfortable intramuscular absorption and consistent delivery of vitamins and medications.   A nurse can guide you through positioning to ensure minimal soreness and discomfort.

8 . WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT THE INJECTION SITE AFTER MY INJECTION?   Most patients experience little to no soreness after the injection.   You may notice mild pressure, slight tenderness, or a small bump at the injection site- all of which are normal and typically resolve quickly.

9 . CAN I COMBINE INJECTIONS WITH IV HYDRATION THERAPY?   YES.   Patients can choose to pair injections with there IV hydration for a more comprehensive boost.

10 . WHO ADMINISTERS THE INJECTIONS?   All injections are administered by licensed nurses trained in intramuscular injection technique.
